Overview and trickiness of EOG
After careful consideration, I have decided the best approach to tackle the EOG is to cultivate a love for reading in the kids. The EOG is tricky. It is very emotion-based and the kids have to state how the person who wrote the test is interpreting a text. I believe the best way to prepare the kids for the tests is to expose them to a wide variety of literature.

Suggestions.
When helping your child pick out a book, follow these guidelines P.I.C.K
Purpose- why do I want to read this book?
Interest- does this book interest me?
Comprehend- do I understand it?
Know- do I know most of the words?

Motivation
get excited about reading with the kids. Talk about books with them and dive into what they think the book is trying to say. Be an open dictionary for them incase they run into words they do not understand. Attached is a document where they can log the books they have read and rate them
